5Directory connections

Last updated

A directory connection tells SYNERGY Management Gateway how to reach one Active Directory domain: which domain controller to contact, on which port, whether to encrypt the traffic, and which service account to sign in with. Every screen that reads or changes the directory, every AI agent, every n8n workflow and every REST integration works through a connection. Nothing in Active Directory can be browsed or managed until at least one connection exists.

This chapter explains what a connection is, how to create, test, edit and delete one, how to keep its service-account password current, how the platform watches its health, how you can protect sensitive containers from unsupervised changes by agents and API keys, and how to tune the way the platform talks to every directory.
