9.8Troubleshooting

An agent says its request needs approval, but I cannot find it. Check that the workspace directory is the one the agent was working in, select Waiting in the stat bar, and set Scope to All. Check the chips under the toolbar for a filter you did not mean to keep, and select Clear all if in doubt. Alternatively, ask the agent for the operation link (?operationId=), or use Review on My Waiting Operations.
The list shows fewer operations than I expect. Look at the chips under the toolbar: every filter in use has one, including filters that came with a link. A filter set under More filters also shows as a number beside More filters. Select Clear all to start again.
An operation shows no role. The role is recorded from version 0.179 onwards. Operations recorded earlier, and operations nobody requested, have none.
I cannot reject an old request. A request older than 72 hours has expired and can no longer be rejected or cancelled; the attempt answers Operation.NotPending. It will never run.
The approval email link says "Sent to another account". You are signed in as someone else. Sign out and sign in as the addressee, or, if your own role can approve, decide it from the Operations log instead.
I approved a request and it shows Failed. Open the detail. If the message is "The approval request has expired.", the request was more than 72 hours old; ask the requester to submit it again. Otherwise the error banner shows why the change itself failed in Active Directory.
A waiting request on My Waiting Operations says "Likely to fail". The same change on the same object was approved and then failed the last time or times it ran; the strip shows the last error. Fix the cause (often a missing right of the directory connection's service account, or an object that was deleted or moved) and let it be approved, or cancel it. See 9.8.
My Waiting Operations shows one request with ×3 when my agent asked three times. Identical requests that ended the same way in a row are grouped in the Decided section. Select the arrow at the start of the row to list each one.
Approve is refused with License.NotActivated. Directory operations cannot run without an active licence. The request stays waiting; approve it again once the licence is active. See Chapter 19, Licence, updates and backups.
My agent's password reset was refused with Agent.ApprovalImpossible. The reset would have had to wait (a protected account, or a Supervised agent), and requests carrying passwords cannot be queued. Reset the password yourself in the console, or change the agent's supervision level. See Chapter 10, Operation policies, attribute policies and agent supervision.
Live notification cards do not appear. Check that Live operation notifications is on in your profile and that your active role holds audit:list.
