8Saved LDAP filters
Last updated
A saved LDAP filter, shown in the console as a saved search, is a reusable directory query stored in SYNERGY Management Gateway. It holds an LDAP filter together with everything needed to run it: which type of object to look for, where in the directory to start, and which attributes to return. Once saved, anyone with the right permission can run it again with one click, from the Directory Browser, from an n8n workflow, from an AI agent or over the REST API, without retyping the query.
Typical uses are recurring checks such as "disabled accounts in Finance", "computers running an old operating system" or "groups without a manager", and giving automation a stable, named query to call rather than embedding LDAP syntax in every workflow.
This chapter explains how saved filters are shared, who may do what with them, and how to create, edit, run and delete them.
